Description

Over five billion dry-cell batteries are purchased in the U.S. annually. Although there are many battery recycling programs across North America, the vast majority of both rechargeable and single-use batteries continue to be sent to landfills. This unnecessarily squanders material resources and energy, and also represents a missed opportunity to create recycling jobs. After several years of research and innovation, Energizer® has announced the release of Energizer® EcoAdvanced™-- the world's first AA batteries made with 4 percent recycled battery material, with a longer-term vision of 40 percent by 2025. These pioneering batteries require less virgin material to produce and are its longest-lasting alkaline battery. Energizer’s® new product alleviates battery waste, through both recycling and the extension of battery life, while maintaining product performance.

This FREE webinar will explore the technological innovation developed by Energizer to achieve this breakthrough in battery sustainability, as well as discuss the life cycle assessment of the technologies used. Lastly, the webinar will present the company's vision for the future. Our expert speakers will touch on ways to increase consumer awareness regarding battery recycling programs, as well as Energizer’s role in shaping battery collection around the globe.
